Step Away From The Spray Starch (aka easy removable xmas decals)

Here’s a cute idea for those who have little or no room for a traditional Christmas tree.  This idea comes from Craftster.org and looks like it could be a whole lot of fun.  I thought this might be a cool decoration for places that, for whatever reason, are not allowed to have a tree and decorations up.  This idea was brought to you by Queen Mab at http://punkysmamma.blogspot.com/.

Hi guys! I’ve had such a positive reaction on m blog about these I thought I’d share here too in case anyone was stuck for Christmas decorating ideas in a small space, a rented space or a kid filled space! Wink

Because our house is teeny tiny & I have a 12 month old who would demolish a real Christmas Tree in a matter of moments, I had to come up with a plan B this year, & this is it.

A removable fabric Christmas Tree! So easy I don’t really need to explain it too much – cut a bunch of circles in varying sizes from different fabrics, spray starch on the wall, place on fabric, press, spray starch to cover fabric & smooth out/remove excess liquid with a dry sponge. When you want to take the decal down, simply peel off & wipe the wall with a damp cloth. EASY!

So easy that I promptly put up a fabric wreath too – & you better believe I have more spray starch based Christmas ideas bubbling away… it is indeed time to step away from the spray starch.

Thanks for looking & (an early) Merry Christmas!
