Today we are in school!

This is the first day of our learning how to do home dialysis. Hopefully, doing dialysis at home will be easier and better for my daughter. She still has a port-a-Cath in her right chest due to having her fistula damaged at the dialysis clinic–it infiltrated.

There is quite a lot to learn to do dialysis at home, but we will be doing this class five days a week for four weeks! I am sure by the end of that I will be proficient.

She has now gone over 72 hours without a nosebleed! She is feeling better and she was able to finish her sleep study last night.

Isn’t she a cutie? ┬áSee what I mean about using her sense of humor to get through all this?
