Monday is Art Day!

So my last day came and went and I am now officially retired! Woohoo!  Now what?  I am finding myself with lots of time on my hands, but I have plenty to do.  I just recently learned about bullet journaling and I am in love.  It is such a logical way to stay orphoto 1ganized and actually get things done.  I just officially started my journal on Saturday, so I will keep you informed about how I do.  So far, I am finding it really easy to stay focused and stay on track by using this method.

Today is the first official Art Day with the new plan for this blog.  I have been working with charcoal and pen recently and here are a couple of sketches I have done.

I seem to be in an animal phase, especially crows.  I just love crows!

I have also been watching You Tube videos from The Frugal Crafter.

She has abphoto 3out 88 videos of watercolor painting and she explains as she works.  I am really learning a lot about how to use watercolors–which I have been afraid of up until now, but with her explanations and demonstrations, I now feel like maybe I can do this.  I am on video 73 right now, but I have ordered my watercolor card blanks, my travel palette and I have many brushes.  So I am ready to jump right in and try it out by following her videos.  Seems like an easy way to learn a new skill.

I will add a link to her You Tube page here.  She is silly and talks a lot, but she really knows her stuff and I have learned so much just watching her videos.  Go on over the her channel and watch a few.  See if I am not right!the hare

That just about wraps up this Monday–Art Day!  Tomorrow is Pinterest Day where I try either a craft or a recipe from pinterest and let you know if it turned out as promised.  I think tomorrow, I will try a recipe.  This weekend, I will try a craft out and take pictures as I go along for next week.  Thanks for reading.  I hope you come back.
